I grew up as an Army Brat, traveling all over the world with my father who always had 4 or 5 cameras with him. Following in my father’s footsteps, I joined the Air Force when I was 19 and continued my travels around the US and the world. During that time I enjoyed painting in watercolors, pastels (my favorite), oils, pencil and colored pencil.

In 2002, I met my husband Tom, who is a truck driver. We were married in 2003, and I joined him on the road fulltime in 2004 as his co-driver. Unable to paint in the truck, I developed an interest and passion for photography and purchased a small Fuji Finepix camera…. I was off and running! I wasn’t satisfied for long with just a point and shoot and developed a strong desire to learn everything I could about photography. (See my Photography Site)

We have retired from the road and are building a earth sheltered home out of shipping containers, see my Living in a Tin Can Blog. Once this is finished, I hope to get back to painting.
